About Public Legal Docs

We are a platform to upload your PDF files to make them accessible to search engine crawlers. Founded in 2003, Public Legal Docs was born out of frustration that public information isn't really public. Most legal documents, the majority of which are public domain, are stored behind a paywall and inaccessible to search engines. Public Legal Docs set out to change all of that in 2003, and today we're still going strong.
